Zusan’s Campground is a little known one stall RV park in rural Burlington, Wisconsin. They boast an in-ground pool, several acres of land, 15 AMP electric hook up, and a cedar-scented out house. Other perks included biscuits and gravy, dog walking, yard rental for a small family going away gathering, and RV back up assistance (as advertised in the video below). Not so bad for our first RV Park, hey? We rented the one slot for almost two months using our family discount…Or so I thought. Just prior to our departure, we were given our final bill. Though we were gifted the ultimate after party goody bags of candy, Vodka, Mike’s Hard Lemonade, “I’m a home owner” mugs, and road snacks, it only barely sweetened the bitter taste left in our mouths by the awfully dramatic amount of fees we accumulated. Our total bill, as itemized below, totaled $4,790.00…$4,740.00 after a $50.00 credit for my sidewalk power washing attempt. In the end, I requested a payment plan, but my proposal was rejected. Instead, they waived all the fees and left us completely grateful.
We wanted to thank Zusan’s Campground publicly from the bottom of our hearts for their hospitality. Our new lifestyle would not have begun so smoothly and successfully without all of their help.
With that, we are now rockin’ and rollin’! Our first destination is Maquoketa Caves State Park, Iowa. See ya later, Wisconsin! *Queue Travel Anthem*… Help us choose our travel anthem by voting for your favorite in the comments! Weightless by All Time Low OR Could Have Been Me by The Struts!
